Hardee's will offer a free sausage biscuit on Monday, the day after Daylight Savings Time begins.

After finding from a recent survey that a majority of Americans (60 percent) find the Monday after Daylight Saving Time is the worst Monday of the year, Hardee’s is setting out to make mornings a little happier one biscuit at a time. On Monday, March 9, guests who say “Happy Mornings” will receive a free Made From Scratch Sausage Biscuit at participating locations.

“Hardee’s business is breakfast, with more than 260 million biscuits sold each year. So, on the ‘Mondayest’ Monday, we’re helping folks cope with losing an extra hour of sleep with a fresh, flaky biscuit escape,” shared Owen Klein, vice president of culinary innovation at CKE Restaurants. “Most of our restaurants open on-average one hour before competitors for our special team of Biscuit Makers to hand-craft the Made From Scratch Biscuits. Our biscuits rise with the sun, because that’s what it takes to serve the best breakfast.”

The Hardee’s Made From Scratch Sausage Biscuit includes a savory, freshly grilled sausage patty between its signature Made From Scratch Biscuit.
